The Washington, DC Flight Restricted Zone

These seminars provide the opportunity to complete all the requirements for a PIN in one place at one time.  Some seminars cover both the SFRA and the FRZ while others focus only the FRZ.  In both cases, you’ll have the benefit of hearing from experts who have a wealth of experience in the complex Washington, DC airspace.  In most cases, there is the option of on-site fingerprinting to fulfill the required background check although you don’t have to do all this at once if you don’t want to.  The fingerprinting can also be done at most local law enforcement agencies.  See the “How To Apply” section for detailed instructions.

Each presentation takes a little over an hour, and fingerprinting takes about 10 or 15 minutes per person.

These seminars are put on thanks to the generous sponsorship of AOPA, Chesapeake Sport Pilot, GT Aviation, Hyde Field/Washington Executive Airpark and Fetter Aviation Co along with the airports and EAA chapters that have provided the facilities (and food) to put them on.

Available seminars and details for each are listed on the Seminar Schedule page.

If your flight school, 135, medivac base or EAA chapter has a group that would benefit from a seminar, we can come to you.  Contact Stan Fetter for more information;  stan@hydefield.com or 301-234-0065.
